When I’m not writing, I’m active in alternative fashion communities — mainly egl/lolita fashion. Last month, I was invited to present a panel at The Great Lace. This is the second Japanese street fashion con I had the privilege of going to. The panel was all about laundry and garment restoration. When you’re buying designer dresses from Japan with many delicate and intricate details, washing them can be very scary. Sometimes, those dresses if bought used come with some nasty stain surprises. I hope this panel helped dispel some of the anxiety around caring for garments. My phone died during the q&a portion panel so the sound quality is not great. I figured it would be fun to share something from my very much not writing/science fiction related hobbies.
