Upcoming Event: Rainbow Space Magic 10/4

I will be speaking at Rainbow Space Magic, a two day online conference for queer speculative fiction. The event is completely free and features panels, chat and chill sessions, and readings. It is the the sixth year of the event and all the previous panels and readings are also available to watch if you want even more content!

My panel, “Defining Genres: Do We Need To?” is Saturday, October 4 at 6pm EST/10pm UTC. We’ll be talking about genre from different angles. I personally will be coming at it from the framework of genre establishes language for the reader as well as history of SF literature in the west. It should be a very fun discussion!

I will also be at the Otherside Chill & Chat on October 4th at 11am EST/3pm UTC to support my friends and the magazine. Otherside is filling a gap in the speculative fiction markets ecosystem that has been around for a few years and I am very excited for their launch.
